The Virginia Airborne Search & Rescue is the Commonwealth of Virginia's only rescue unit that operates an all volunteer helicopter and drone unit. We are on standby 24 hours a day for missions that support Project Lifesaver, the US Coast Guard, local jurisdictions and citizens. We have located and assisted in the location of lost children, Alzheimer's patients, patients with autism and many more.

Our operating budget comes entirely through your donations.  Not a dime of taxpayer money is used to fund VASAR.
